Hard Drive Error Checking

using Windows Disk Check

As a general rule before performing any of the below procedures make sure important documents are saved and applications are closed.

Perform a checking of the disk once a month.

Double click on My Computer, then right click on a drive and select Properties.

Click on the Tools tab and then click on the Check Now button.

Please select both check boxes that are present and click on the Start button.

Click the Yes button.

Click the OK button.

Now manually reboot the computer to start the scanning of the disk which will commence before windows loads and signing back on and then perform this for the remaining drives.
